CSX Intermodal Facility Expansion Project

North Baltimore , OH

Queen City managed the construction of the track portion of the CSX Intermodal Facility with 34,700 ft of additional support tracks at the existing North Baltimore Terminal. This included the construction and installation of 17 new turnouts with electric power switch stands, installation of 16 derails with electric power switch stands, removal and installation of 6,000 ft of existing track, removal of 136 TF of crossing, installation of 380 TF of new crossings in an operating intermodal terminal. Queen City provided a highly qualified staff of project managers, quality control personnel, a site safety director, superintendents and large field construction crews to ensure that all critical aspects of the project were properly coordinated.

Notably, Queen City performed under heavy terminal traffic and coordinated with operating railroads and managed multiple other aspects of work that took place throughout the terminal expansion to meet CSXI’s project objectives.
